But this year feels different.
When I started this blog a month ago, I had no idea what I was doing. I almost didn't start the whole thing and when I did, I didn't have any content. Truth: I still don't totally know what I'm doing and I'm always trying to figure out what to post. And yet, oddly enough, joining this whole community (if only just through Twitter and posting on other people's blogs) has helped me feel happier and more fulfilled at the end of this year than any other year I can remember. It's my thing and mine alone. It's out there for the world to see and I am not embarrassed, no matter what stupid comments I've fielded regarding blogging or loving YA novels.
It's due to all these fulfilled feelings that I'm going to make a Great Big New Years Resolution for the first time in a long time: I want to keep this blog going strong and continue to integrate myself into this amazing, vibrant book blogging community. Some of you have already welcomed me and have been so sweet to me, a fact I am so unbelievable, indescribably grateful for. As for everyone I don't already know, I can't wait to get to know you better.
And so, dear readers, new friends and future new friends, I wish you all a Happy 2013 and I hope your resolutions, big or small, can be as meaningful to you as mine is to me!
PS: Enjoy the fireworks! They're my favorite ^_^
