Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List (27)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
So for this week's Top Ten Tuesday, I've decided I was NOT ALLOWED to put books I don't already OWN on this list. So I went to my bookshelf, picked 5 BEA books and 5 finished copies I bought/won I haven't read yet but am DYING to read (and weren't on my Top Ten list from last week). Which is how I compiled my Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List.

TOP FIVE BEA BOOKS

1. The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
afkjhafheiruknajn MAGGIE STIEFVATER. RAVEN BOYS. RONAN. *cries joyously*

2. Just Like Fate Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young
I've had my eye on this one for a long time so when I saw it just SITTING ON THE FLOOR at BEA I got all kinds of grabby hands.

3. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
*More incoherent keyboard slamming*

4. Across a Star Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund
I JUUUUST finished For Darkness Shows the Stars the other day and I'm SUPER EXCITED to not have to wait for the sequel.

5. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
Me and the outer space Titanic book are going to have all kinds of fun this summer.

TOP FIVE FINISHED COPIES

6. The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston
I won this one from Cassie and I'm exciiiited to read it this summer *delight*

7. Parallel by Lauren Miller
See Just Like Fate above? Yeah, I like Sliding Door type books and I'm so thrilled to work through both of these.

8. Pivot Point by Kasie West
ANOTHER book with two girls on the cover and Sliding Door plots. I'm probably going to have to be careful in reading all of these so I don't get sick of the plot line...

9. The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise
This one sounds really quirky and you guys know I looooove me so quirky.

10. From What I Remember by Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas
A nice fat book for me is what I'm seeing here. A lot of people I know really liked this one, so I'm all about digging into it ASAP.

So what did you guys put on your summer TBR list? Anything on my list you want to add to yours? Maybe you have something you think I'D want to read? TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT (in the comments below).

  1. I really enjoyed Pivot Point when I read a few months ago, excited for your your review! I'm very jealous of Fangirl, I adored Eleanor & Park.

  2. This is a great list for the Summer Gaby. I can't wait to get my hands on The These Broken Stars, I have heard so many great things already. From What I Remember was one of my favourite reads from last year, it is such a perfect Summer book, so I hope you enjoy it. And I started reading Parallel the other day, it did take a while to get my head around, but I can't put it down now.

  5. Eeee, yes, The Dream Thieves!! It was a major oversight to not have it on my list because it was one that I was sooo anxious to get my hands on at BEA. I really want to get to Pivot Point, too, because everyone seems to love it so much!

  6. I'M EXCITED TO GET TO ALL THE BEA BOOKS YOU MENTIONED TOO. Especially These Broken Stars, which I'm DYING TO READ, but it comes out in such a long time that I have to FORCE myself not to pick it up. Which is so freaking hard, because it's right there, all gorgeous and wonderful-looking.

PIVOT POINT IS REALLY GOOD. I also plan on reading The Rules for Disappearing and The Boyfriend App this summer! TWINSIES. Also Fangirl is soso good. I loved it! ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU. (Seriously working on this flying-to-New-York-using-only-my-arms thing. It's coming along.)

  14. Parallel, Pivot Point and Just Like Fate were some of my favorite reads from this year. Really enjoyable books. I know they sound like it could get tiring, but each is really different from the other. I almost read them all back to back with a book or two in between.

  31. I pretty much agree for all the excitement you've got for the BEA books you picked up (except Just Like Fate) which I don't have! BUT I really have to comment to endorse From What I Remember, which is really fun. It'd make a great summer read :)
