It all began with a ruined elixir and an accidental bolt of lightning...

Iolanthe Seabourne is the greatest elemental mage of her generation—or so she's being told. The one prophesied for years to be the savior of The Realm. It is her duty and destiny to face and defeat the Bane, the greatest mage tyrant the world has ever known. A suicide task for anyone let alone a sixteen-year-old girl with no training, facing a prophecy that foretells a fiery clash to the death.

Prince Titus of Elberon has sworn to protect Iolanthe at all costs but he's also a powerful mage committed to obliterating the Bane to revenge the death of his family—even if he must sacrifice both Iolanthe and himself to achieve his goal.

But Titus makes the terrifying mistake of falling in love with the girl who should have been only a means to an end. Now, with the servants of the Bane closing in, he must choose between his mission and her life.

[Summary Source: Goodreads]
First of all, this cover is STUNNING. Seriously. Stunning.

Second of all, HIGH FANTASY. *does requisite I love high fantasy dance*

Third of all, LOVE. I spy the word LOVE in the summary and I'm EXCITED for kissing scenes. But I'm always excited for that. And you guys should be too.

If the cover alone didn't do it for me, the High Fantasy definitely did. And the kissing *cough* I mean, romance. What's caught YOUR eye this week? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I saw this on Tea Time last week and died a little inside. Def need to read this one. What's High Fantasy though? Is there a Low Fantasy? jk, but really what is it. Also, loooove that cover.
    My WOW

    1. High fantasy is fantasy that takes place in a secondary, made up world. So urban fantasy, less so. Glad you're excited about this one though!

  2. YES! I saw this one on Tea Time last week and I'm soooo excited! I am so in the mood for some good quality fantasy! :) I hope it ends up as good as it sounds. :)

    1. Good quality fantasy is sometimes hard to find, which stresses me out. >.<

  3. Oh geez.... this one sounds like a total winner! Really hoping it's as amazing as it sounds/looks!

    1. Right? And me too. It's always so stressful when the good sounding books disappoint >.<
