Bout of Books 7.0: Resummarize a Cover Challenge & Giveaway

Welcome to DAY 5 of Bout of Books! I hope you've all been making progress on your goals (I'm moving at a snails pace myself!) but DON'T WORRY. You still have time - EVEN IF you take a break to take part in the DAY FIVE challenge I'm hosting! 

THE CHALLENGE

For day 5 of Bout of Books, I'm asking ALL OF YOU - if you choose to accept the task - to RESUMMARIZE A COVER. I'm sure a lot of you are wondering what this means, especially since blogger is telling me resummarize isn't a word. What you have to do is pick one of the books you've either already read or plan to read for Bout of Books and write said book a new synopsis based on the cover alone. 

As AN EXAMPLE, I'll use the book I'm reading RIGHT NOW.

Mina is your average, friendless teenage girl. She spends her days on the couch, reading magazines or watching TV, hoping for something eventful to come along and shake things up.

One day, while doing the same thing she does just about every other day, Mina gets the call. The one that shakes things up. Armed with a truth no one thought she could handle and left on her own for the very first time, Mina has to step into a role no one ever wanted for her in order to save her family - and that cute boy from next door - from almost certain death. 

She only hopes she can do what everyone always thought she couldn't.

So maybe the cover of this one's a little lighter than the new summary I gave it, but that doesn't matter so much to me. What MATTERS is that you do something NEW and FUN with the old cover.
